Curse

Today at my high school, we were presented with a video by some college guys, a video called Invisible Children. This is about a couple of inexperienced documenters going to Uganda, a place in Africa where children get upducted by the thousands by rebels that want to over throw the government. They put the children through a type of military campaign, arming them with Ak's and other weapons, teaching them the fundamentals of war.

The sad part is, these children are starving and being forced to hide if they want to survive. They sleep 100's to 1000's of kids on the hard floor in one house. During training, kids witness the adults killing other kids to make the kids fear of running away from the camps, as if they did and were caught, they would be killed.

In the interviews, the kids say they do not cry becuase if a gaurd saw them, they would be killed because the gaurds assume that they are thinking about home.

Very sad!

They have no records of how many kids are upducted everyday, how mnay kids die everyday or any of that stuff!

The way I feel about this is sad that i basically cannot do anything about this. Sure i can donate money here and their.... but even still its not gonna stop the madness.. Some of you prob heard or even seen the videos and prob feel the way i feel. All day today its been on my mind... small children put through war.

yes, it's sad, and there's a lot of problems in the world, and i think it's time to stop talking and begin to act, how hard would it be for like all the rich countries in the world stop something like this?
All the rich countries could support with a little army on 100-200 men and some cash, and a little after that the children would be free and we could say pwnd!
anyway, it's easy for us to talk, but i dunno how it really is...........yes it's sad and if i had met any of those bastards that does this to them...gods know what i would do to them

Man this is Absurd to the max. Poverty,violence, worst things more worst than death is in this world we can't do anything about it.

Also im confused, how can donating money help them from NOT being abducted?

Also in the link it shows half black/half white of a child, doubt theres many whites in Africa?

If you go to South Africa its predominatly White i do believe. The rest of Africa is predominatly black. But for some reason South Africa is full of white people. odd but true. Also Ugenda isnt the only place with problems like that, all over the world its happening. We live in a horribly cruel world.

yes its not only uganda.. but fomr what i see its the worst. from what it said in the video, it goes to schools, money for food, clothing things like that. they also said theres gonna be a feasure film coming in 07..its so depressing to see this shyt happening in the world...

I'd hate to say it, but it is the opposite in Zimbabwe, and recently they have had no shelter, no thanks to the corrupt PM over there...

The only way that we can sort it out is to go there someday and help out by buying Equipment over here then placing it down in one of the third world areas, but knowing that this world is about 75% full of facists and do-gooders (Maybe more or less in certain areas, but the UK is rounded to that figure), nothing is going to change....
